Germany to Contribute $500 Million to NATO’s Ukraine Support Program

Germany has announced that it is ready to provide $500 million in military aid as part of NATO’s “Priority Ukrainian Requirements List” (PURL) initiative.

In a written statement, the German Ministry of Defense noted that this package is among the first major PURL contributions financed jointly with allied nations. The statement also expressed gratitude to the United States for continuing to supply Ukraine with weapons and ammunition, emphasizing that Germany’s participation significantly strengthens support for Ukraine.

The ministry added that it is working closely with NATO and allied partners to coordinate the details of the program.
