Russia Claims to Have Neutralized 22 Ukrainian Drones Over Moscow and Other Regions

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had neutralized 22 Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during air defense operations conducted across the country, including over the capital, Moscow.

In its statement, the ministry reported that the drones attempted to violate Russian airspace and posed a security threat. All UAVs were destroyed following a swift and coordinated response by Russian air defense units.

Officials emphasized that the operation was carried out simultaneously in Moscow and other strategically important regions, ensuring the safety of civilians remained a top priority. The statement added that the incident once again demonstrated the effectiveness of Russia’s air defense systems and the high readiness level of its armed forces.

While Ukraine has not issued an official response, some international observers suggest that the increasing use of drones in the area may indicate new tactical approaches being tested in the ongoing conflict.

The Russian Defense Ministry concluded by affirming that it will continue to strengthen airspace protection and take decisive measures against any future violations.
