Tensions in the Middle East are once again on the rise. On Friday, Israeli fighter jets carried out intense airstrikes on the Nabatieh region in southern Lebanon. According to local sources, powerful explosions shook the area during the attacks.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that the airstrikes targeted multiple locations and caused loud, forceful explosions. However, there has been no official confirmation yet regarding casualties or injuries.
In a statement, the Israeli military said the operation targeted Hezbollah’s bunkers and ammunition depots, describing it as a response to ongoing security threats. So far, the Lebanese army has not released any official comment on the incident.
As concerns grow over the possibility of further escalation, the strikes—taking place near civilian-populated areas—are being closely monitored by the international community.
