MSPO 2025: Poland and Allies Showcase Future Battlefield Innovations

The 2025 MSPO International Defense Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Poland, opened on September 2 with a strong display of how modern warfare is driving rapid innovation. This year’s edition focused on next-generation land, artillery, and maritime systems, unveiling platforms that emphasize mobility, autonomy, and precision strike capability to meet the challenges of 21st-century conflicts.

One of the key debuts was the Rosomak-L armored vehicle, an extended-hull variant of the proven 8×8 Rosomak platform. Equipped with the Turra 30 remote-controlled turret, a 30 mm cannon, coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun, and SPIKE LR/LR2 ATGMs, the vehicle delivers superior firepower while ensuring full crew protection. Advanced sensors, including multi-mission radar and anti-sniper detection systems, give the Rosomak-L engagement capability beyond 4 km, making it a next-generation battlefield asset.

Ukraine presented its 2S22 Bohdana self-propelled howitzer, combat-proven on the front lines and now making its MSPO debut. Mounted on an 8×8 chassis, it fires 155 mm NATO-standard ammunition out to 41 km with extended-range shells, symbolizing Ukraine’s deeper integration with Western standards.

Poland also revealed the Bluszcz unmanned mine-laying vehicle, which can remotely deploy up to 100 MN-123 anti-tank mines with programmable patterns and spacing, providing commanders with precise control over obstacle creation.

In the artillery domain, South Korea’s Hyundai WIA introduced a lightweight 105 mm self-propelled gun optimized for rapid-reaction and airborne forces. Transportable by tactical aircraft and operated by just two crew members, it offers automated gun laying, GPS/INS guidance, and shoot-and-scoot fire missions up to 18 km.

At sea, the Stormrider unmanned combat boat from WB Group captured attention with its fast development cycle and Baltic Sea testing. Designed for reconnaissance, patrol, and strike missions, it reflects Poland’s push to counter asymmetric maritime threats.

MSPO 2025 highlighted how Poland and its allies are preparing for future conflicts by investing in adaptable, networked, and precision-capable systems. From long-range artillery to unmanned surface vessels, the exhibition underscored NATO’s determination to maintain technological superiority against emerging threats.
