Robots Strengthen Turkey’s Defense Industry

Industrial robots and next-generation production technologies are playing a crucial role in modernizing Turkey’s defense sector. INTECRO Robotics provides robot-based manufacturing and process solutions across automotive, defense, aerospace, shipbuilding, heavy machinery, and rail systems industries.

Chairman Ali Şen stated that industrial robotics is now present in nearly every sector, and in defense and aerospace, these technologies enhance quality, speed, and mass production capabilities. Since 2013, INTECRO has implemented robotic and automated production systems for firms including MKE and Roketsan, while also supporting ASELSAN with testing and prototyping needs.

Şen highlighted the importance of digital twin technologies in modeling factories and managing production in real time. Sensor fusion, control systems, smart manipulators, and mold-fixture technologies remain essential components of modern manufacturing.

Next-Generation Robots Ready for Action

INTECRO’s robotic systems can precisely position high-strength armor steel, detect and correct welding errors, and adapt to minor imperfections in parts. Capable of operating with 0.05% millimeter precision, these robots are designed to enhance production efficiency and maintain quality in heavy industry.

From Automotive to Shipbuilding

INTECRO CEO Serhat Uğural emphasized the company’s role as a strategic partner in automotive, electromobility, and defense-aerospace sectors. Production lines for Togg batteries, Renault, and TOFAŞ have been established by INTECRO. In shipbuilding and rail systems, their Bilinch-branded “Self Programming” technology enables robots to autonomously learn and perform tasks.

Uğural added that the company’s robotic lines for leading Turkish shipyards and locomotive-wagon manufacturers contribute significantly to the growth of the country’s industrial capacity.
