Serbia Displays First Israeli PULS Rocket Launcher During Military Rehearsal

Serbia has received PULS multiple rocket launcher (MLRS). Footage from preparations for the “Power of Unity 2025” military parade in Belgrade shows at least one unit painted in Serbian camouflage, confirming the country as the latest operator of the system following Elbit Systems’ November 2024 contract announcement.

The PULS (Precise and Universal Launching System) is a modular, dual-pod launcher capable of firing a variety of rockets, cruise missiles, and loitering munitions. In Serbia, the system is mounted on Tatra 815-7 Force 6×6 chassis and will deploy EXTRA, ACCULAR, and Predator Hawk missiles with ranges from 35 km to 300 km. Integrated with Hermes 900 reconnaissance drones and advanced electronic warfare and intelligence systems, the PULS forms a reconnaissance-strike loop that significantly extends Serbia’s operational reach.

Compared to the domestically produced LRSVM Tamnava, PULS offers a substantial improvement in range, precision, and battlefield flexibility. President Aleksandar Vučić highlighted the acquisition as a countermeasure to neighboring Croatia’s procurement of HIMARS and Bayraktar TB2 drones. The combined PULS-Hermes capability enables coordinated, long-range precision strikes, enhancing Serbia’s modernized networked warfare capacity.

Beyond Serbia, PULS has also been adopted by Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany in Europe, and by Rwanda, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Peru globally. Germany is procuring the Euro-PULS variant for European munitions compatibility. The system’s growing international adoption underscores its status as a competitive alternative to U.S.-made HIMARS.
