Teledyne FLIR Unveils CERBERUS XL Mobile C-UAS System at Finnish Defense Event

24 November 2025 – Teledyne FLIR showcased its CERBERUS XL mobile counter-unmanned aerial system (C-UAS) at GBAD Days, a defense technology event hosted by the Finnish Defence Forces. The system integrates radar, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR), and radio-frequency (RF) sensors to detect and track Group 1 and Group 2 drones.

Michael Hornoe of Teledyne FLIR stated online: “We are excited to demonstrate the CERBERUS XL system detecting, tracking, and identifying a variety of drones at GBAD Days.”

Designed for rapid deployment in austere environments, CERBERUS XL features a rugged, modular design with a high-performance sensor suite. It provides unmanned surveillance for borders and critical infrastructure while ensuring quick operational readiness.

The system combines radar, EO/IR, and RF technologies to deliver long-range detection and tracking. A command-and-control platform supported by artificial intelligence and machine learning enables efficient decision-making.

CERBERUS XL is sensor- and effector-agnostic, allowing operators to adapt the platform to mission-specific needs. Optimized for both ground and aerial threats, it offers layered defense and perimeter awareness in contested environments.

Its modularity and mobility allow integration into operational areas without extensive infrastructure or lengthy calibration. The system is ideal for tactical operations, border security, and critical infrastructure protection.

The demonstration highlights growing NATO and allied interest in deployable C-UAS systems, reflecting the need to counter increasingly prevalent drone threats on modern battlefields.
