China Xinxing Light Tactical Intelligent Glasses Move From PLA Use To Global Export Markets

Chinese defense supplier China Xinxing Import and Export Co. Ltd showcased its Light Tactical Intelligent Glasses at Expodefensa 2025 in Bogotá, introducing the augmented reality headset—already in service with the People’s Liberation Army—as a ready-to-export solution for foreign militaries seeking digitalized soldier capabilities.

Advanced Head-Mounted AR System

The system integrates a high-definition camera, infrared sensor, near-eye optical display, and a dedicated processor that overlays tactical information directly into the operator’s field of view. Positioned as part of a modular soldier modernization suite, the device supports constant access to maps, targeting cues, and shared reconnaissance feeds for infantry and mechanized units.

Sensors, Comfort, and Power Design

Equipped with a digital compass, barometer, and attitude sensor, the glasses maintain stable imagery during rapid movement or demanding terrain. An adjustable elastic band allows compatibility with various helmet types.

Weighing around 280 grams, the device maintains operator comfort during extended missions. With power consumption under 3 watts, a single battery provides up to eight hours of operation, extendable through spare packs.

Optical and Processing Capabilities

  • 45° field of view, brightness above 800 nits
  • 1920×1080 / 60 Hz AR overlay
  • 1080p / 30 Hz visible-light camera
  • 6 TOPS processing power for IR detection, facial recognition, tactical map access, and group-level reconnaissance sharing

Rated IP54, the system is resistant to dust and water splashes, and its operating range from –40°C to +55°C enables deployment in a wide array of climates.

Expanding Chinese Defense Presence

At Expodefensa, China Xinxing positioned itself not only as a tactical visualization provider but also as a supplier of small arms, drones, light armored vehicles, and logistics equipment. The international marketing of its PLA-proven soldier systems underscores China’s growing footprint in global soldier modernization, land platforms, and support technologies.
