Greece has completed the delivery of smart munitions ordered from Israel. The Spice series precision-guided bombs (in 1,000- and 2,000-pound variants) and Rampage air-to-surface missiles, produced by Israeli defense companies, have officially entered the inventory of the Hellenic Air Force.
According to defense sources, the newly delivered systems are part of Greece’s efforts to enhance its air strike capabilities and strengthen its long-range precision engagement capacity. The Rampage missiles stand out for their high speed and ability to hit targets even under electronic warfare conditions, while the Spice munitions are noted for their advanced target recognition and guidance systems.
Athens is expected to further expand its defense cooperation with Israel in the coming period, particularly in areas such as training, maintenance, and technology transfer. The development is seen as another reflection of Greece’s increasing defense investments and its strategy to bolster regional deterrence.
