MKE ALPAY Minefield Breaching System Tested

Makine ve Kimya Endüstrisi (MKE) continues its efforts to develop critical systems required by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) through domestic engineering capabilities. Developing the ALPAY Minefield Breaching System against mines—one of the most common threats on battlefields—MKE shared footage with the public demonstrating the successful testing of the system.

Creating a Safe Corridor in Mined Areas

Developed entirely with indigenous and national engineering, MKE ALPAY is designed to enable motorized units and infantry elements to safely traverse mine-laden regions during operations. Its effectiveness against all anti-tank and anti-personnel class mines is among the primary features that distinguish the system from similar products.

The system, mounted on a trailer, can be easily transported by tanks, trucks, or armored personnel carriers. Once delivered to the field, its integrated rocket system is launched up to 200 meters. The 400-kilogram C4 explosive payload within the rocket clears an area 10 meters wide and 100 meters long of mines, thereby creating a clear corridor. After the clearing process is complete, the troops can safely pass through the area.

99% Success Rate and 15-Minute Preparation Time

MKE ALPAY achieves a clearing success rate of up to 99% thanks to the high-yield C4 explosive. The fact that the system can be prepared for use by only two personnel within 15 minutes provides a significant advantage in terms of operational speed. This feature is critically important, especially in operational environments where time pressure is high.
